1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Cryptomatics ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Cryptomatics.

2. Service Description

Cryptomatics is an AI-powered cryptocurrency trading platform that:

• Connects to your Coinbase account via API keys you provide
• Uses artificial intelligence (Claude by Anthropic) to analyze cryptocurrency markets
• Executes buy and sell trades on your behalf based on AI analysis
• Provides a dashboard for monitoring positions, portfolio performance, and trading activity
• Supports both paper trading (simulated) and live trading modes

3. Eligibility

To use Cryptomatics, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have a valid Coinbase account
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction regarding cryptocurrency trading
• Not be located in a jurisdiction where cryptocurrency trading is prohibited

4. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your login credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• The API keys you provide and ensuring they have appropriate permissions
• Monitoring your trading activity and portfolio
• Ensuring your Coinbase account has sufficient funds for trading

We recommend using API keys with only the minimum permissions required (trade and view). Never share API keys that have withdrawal permissions.

5. API Key Usage

When you provide Coinbase API keys to Cryptomatics:

• You grant us permission to read portfolio data and execute trades on your behalf
• Your API keys are encrypted at rest using Fernet symmetric encryption
• You can revoke access at any time by deleting or rotating your API keys in Coinbase
• We strongly recommend using API keys that do not have withdrawal permissions
• We will never transfer, withdraw, or move funds out of your Coinbase account

6. Trading Risks

By using Cryptomatics, you acknowledge and accept that:

• Cryptocurrency markets are highly volatile. Prices can fluctuate dramatically in short periods. You may lose some or all of your invested capital.
• AI analysis is not infallible. The AI may make incorrect predictions or trading decisions. Past performance does not guarantee future results.
• This is not financial advice. Cryptomatics is a tool, not a financial advisor. All trading decisions, whether automated or manual, are ultimately your responsibility.
• Technical failures may occur. API outages, network issues, exchange downtime, or software bugs could affect trade execution or result in missed opportunities.
• Market conditions vary. Strategies that work in some market conditions may fail in others. The AI may not adapt quickly enough to rapid market changes.
• Regulatory risks exist. Cryptocurrency regulations may change, potentially affecting your ability to trade or the value of your holdings.

You should never trade with money you cannot afford to lose. Consider starting with paper trading mode to evaluate the system before committing real funds.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied
• We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• We are not liable for any trading losses, lost profits, or damages arising from your use of the Service
• We are not responsible for any losses caused by API downtime, exchange outages, or third-party service failures
• Our total liability to you for any claims arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim

8. Team Accounts & Invitations

Cryptomatics supports multi-user access to trading accounts:

• Account owners can invite other users with various roles (admin, member, viewer)
• The account owner is responsible for managing team member access and permissions
• Team members must comply with these Terms independently
• The account owner remains responsible for all trading activity on their account, regardless of which team member initiated it

9. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to it
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
• Use the Service to manipulate markets or engage in wash trading
• Share your account credentials with unauthorized parties

10. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, AI models, and content, is owned by Cryptomatics and protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination:

• Your right to use the Service ceases immediately
• We recommend revoking your Coinbase API keys
• Any pending trades may or may not be executed depending on timing
• You may request deletion of your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy

You may terminate your account at any time by revoking your API keys and ceasing use of the Service.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cryptomatics and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable rules.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining Terms remain in full force and effect.

15. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
